Ruins of Agdam: A Testament to Resilience

The city of Agdam stands as a silent witness to the tumultuous history of the Caucasus region. As one of the oldest cities in the Azerbaijan Republic, its storied past is woven into the fabric of its crumbling walls and shattered streets. Yet, it is not merely a relic of bygone eras; it is a testament to the enduring spirit of its people in the face of adversity.

The first war in Karabakh, which erupted in 1991, brought devastation to the city as it fell partially under the occupation of the Armenian Armed Forces.
