He began his career in restoration back in the 1990s when this sphere was just beginning to gain momentum in Azerbaijan. His passion for preserving and restoring historical objects led him to establish his own restoration workshop. Hajiyev has become a crucial figure in the preservation of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, working on individual art pieces as well as entire architectural monuments. His professionalism, creative approach, and dedication to the cause have attracted the attention of both local and international organizations, making him one of the leading experts in the field of restoration and preservation of historical heritage in the region. Currently, the only fully-fledged organization in Azerbaijan dedicated to the conservation and restoration of various works of art, mostly museum exhibits, is the CENTRE OF RESEARCH RESTORATION OF MUSEUM OBJECTS AND RELICS under Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture, founded by Farhad Hajiyev. There, restoration artists specializing in various areas of this field work diligently to conserve Azerbaijan’s cultural treasures.
